A Preschool With a Personal Touch: Small Sprouts Preschool

It’s that time of year again – preschool registration time.  Parents of 3 and 4 year olds are deciding whether or not to send their little ones to preschool, and if they go, which one to choose! My oldest went to preschool and loved it!  My youngest tried preschool last September and between sensory and attachment issues, we decided she just wasn’t ready yet.  We keep bringing up the idea of preschool, and we hope to get her occupational therapy over the next few months so that attending unparented classes are not so stressful for her, but for right now, she’s happy being at home and that is ok with me.

But if I was on the search for a preschool I would be looking for one with a small class size, a personal feel, fun learning activities and free play opportunities. Unfortunately, all these requirements are often too hard to find in a preschool, but there is a new one opening in September 2016 that will meet all these requirements.

Located in North Edmonton, Small Sprouts Preschool will be run by former elementary teacher and mother of two, Rebecca Moge. Rebecca will offer morning programs for 3 and 4 year olds in her home. If you choose Small Sprouts Preschool for your child, not only will they receive plenty of individual attention with small class sizes, but as an added bonus, there are no volunteer requirements or fundraising required!

The three year old program will run Tuesday and Thursdays, 9:00-11:30 am ($160), and the four year old program will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00-11:30 am ($215). Children must be 3 by September 1 and potty trained.

Using different learning styles, and both structured and unstructured activities, a variety of themes will be touched on throughout the year, including shapes, feelings, animals, space, nutrition and more. Activities that focus on early numeracy and literacy and fine motor skills are also important at Small Sprouts Preschool.
