Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Activities + Giveaway

March 2 is the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss. I grew up reading the rhyming tongue twisters and I love sharing my favorites with the girls. Here are some Dr. Seuss inspired activities, sales and a giveaway to celebrate one of our favorite children’s authors.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

The girls love it when we make green eggs and ham.  We blend eggs, spinach, salt and pepper in a magic bullet and scramble, adding diced ham. The whole family loved these nutrient rich eggs and the girls never question how they became green!

Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is a fun, motivational story that allows you to dream of all the adventures to come. It inspired our hot air balloon craft we completed today, also listing four places to visit. The kids practiced their scissor work and discussed world destinations and landmarks.
